Justin Timberlake Filing To Keep His Arrest Video Sealed

Probably not surprising that Justin Timberlake doesn’t want anyone to see the police bodycam footage of his June 2024 DUI arrest. He filed a petition to prevent Sag Harbor from releasing it.

His attorneys argued Monday that the eight-hour video contains personal material irrelevant to law enforcement and violates his privacy rights. The singer pleaded guilty in September after initially contesting charges, receiving community service and a fine as punishment.

Officers reported he ran a stop sign and veered from his lane while smelling of alcohol. Multiple news outlets requested the footage under Freedom Of Information laws. Timberlake’s legal team claims the video includes private emotional moments and bystander imagery extending hours beyond the actual arrest.

Suffolk County Justice Joseph Farneti took no formal action Monday, allowing parties to negotiate a resolution.
