Joey Fatone Exploring The Dark Side Of Boy Bands In New Series
NSYNC’s Joey Fatone will executive produce Boy Band Confidential, a new Investigation Discovery documentary diving into the dark side of the 1990s boy band phenomenon. It will air in two parts, April 13 and 14, and features interviews with bandmate Lance Bass, AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys, and Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men.

“Being in a boy band was one of the greatest experiences of my life — but it also came with challenges we didn’t always understand at the time,” Fatone stated.
ID describes the series as exposing “the secret machinery of manufactured superstardom and the devastating human cost of the era’s glossy perfection.” ID was also behind the successful look at the toxic environment on Nickelodeon shows in Quiet on Set.
