Security Guard Takes Responsibility for Interaction That Made A Young Fan Cry
There has been some controversy surrounding Chappell Roan and an 11-year-old fan who happens to be Jude Law’s daughter. Her stepdad, soccer star Jorginho posted about the upsetting encounter in Brazil at a hotel saying the security guard spoke in a harsh manner to his wife, Catherine Harding, and stepdaughter Ada after the girl walked nearby to confirm it was Roan having breakfast.
Now that guard, Pascal Duvier, is owning up to what happened and setting the record straight. He wrote March 25th he takes “full responsibility” for the interaction on March 21 but was “not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan.” Pascal said, “The actions I took were not on behalf of Chappell Roan, her personal security team, her management, or any other individuals.” He continued, “I made a judgment call based on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location.”
Roan had also commented in a social media story saying her team had nothing to do with it and was unaware of the encounter.
