Artemis II Crew Breaks Record For Farthest Humans Have Gone From Earth
NASA’s Artemis II crew has broken the record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth, reaching 252,760 miles. The previous record of 248,655 miles was set by Apollo 13 in 1970.
The lunar flyby began at 2:45 p.m. ET yesterday and lasted about seven hours. NASA cameras livestreamed footage as Mission Control praised the crew’s achievement. They also sent some stunning images of Earth!
