Blake Lively Trying To Block Her Net Worth From Being Brought Up In Trial
As the May 18th trial date looms, Justin Baldoni’s legal team is pushing back at Blake Lively trying to block discussion of her net worth. Why would that matter to Baldoni’s case? Because she is claiming she lost millions due to an alleged organized smear campaign against her during promotion of ‘It Ends With Us’.
Fans noticed when she was promoting the movie, she would say “grab your florals” and girlfriends and head to the movies. Baldoni was talking about the domestic violence storyline more in interviews.
The battle between Lively and Baldoni dates back to a hit piece in late 2024 in the New York Post accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment followed by the lawsuit in December 2024. She also claimed Baldoni orchestrated a retaliatory smear campaign “to destroy” her reputation. Baldoni has denied the allegations.
On April 2, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims, including sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy. The smaller set of allegations, including breach of contract and retaliation is what will be debated in court. Blake’s estimated net worth is $30 million but claims the “smear campaign” cost her $161 million. She wants $300 million in damages.
