Trailer: “Coyote Vs. ACME”
Nearly three years after Warner Bros. shelved the finished movie, Coyote Vs. Acme is getting its moment in the spotlight. The trailer just dropped ahead of the August 28th theatrical debut.
The live-action animation hybrid follows Wile E. Coyote as he sues the Acme Corporation for defective products that failed during his attempts to catch the Road Runner. Will Forte stars as Coyote’s attorney while John Cena plays opposing counsel. The other Looney Tunes all co-star. The screenplay by Samy Burch adapts a 1990 New Yorker article imagining legal action against Acme.
It was originally developed for HBO Max with a reported $70 million budget, but Warner Bros. scrapped the finished film in 2023. Ketchup Entertainment acquired the film for a reported $50 million in 2025, enabling the global theatrical release
