‘Hocus Pocus 3’ Is Officially Happening
Disney has officially greenlit Hocus Pocus 3 with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy returning as the Sanderson Sisters. The threequel enters early development following the massive success of Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney Plus.
Development was first announced in 2023 after the sequel shattered streaming records with 2.7 billion minutes viewed during its opening weekend. The Disney Plus original became the platform’s most-watched film in its first three days. And this time, they are considering releasing the third in theaters as well as streaming.
The project remains in early stages with no confirmed release date or additional cast members announced. The original 1993 film has become a beloved Halloween classic, while last year’s sequel proved the witchy trio still captivates audiences decades later.
