New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani inadvertently revealed details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding during a press conference about city preparedness for major events.
While discussing the 2026 World Cup planning, Mamdani stated, “We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding—all happening at the same time—and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
Reports suggest the ceremony will occur at Madison Square Garden over July 3 weekend. When asked about attending, the self-described Swiftie mayor said he won’t be there, adding, “I wish them a lovely wedding. I’ll listen to ‘Only the Young’ at home on my own.” Madison Square Garden CEO James Dolan previously hinted at the venue arrangement.
