Former Child Star Who Voiced Lilo in “Lilo & Stitch” Passed Away

Former child star Daveigh Chase passed away at 35. Her boyfriend says she contracted meningitis and several blood infections, which led to sepsis.

Daveigh was the voice of Lilo in the original “Lilo & Stitch” and in the animated sequels and TV series. She was also Samara in “The Ring”, Samantha in “Donnie Darko”, and the voice of Chihiro in the English dub of “Spirited Away”.

Her longtime manager John Ryan says Daveigh had been struggling for a while, and he and her family have been trying to find and help her. At the end of 2025, there was a disturbing video that showed her skinny and living on Skid Row. John was able to speak on the phone with her to get her help, but when he went to Skid Row, she was gone. He also commented on how Daveigh’s supposed boyfriend set up a GoFundMe before her death.

Quote, “Apparently, a man claiming to be her ‘boyfriend’ that none of us friends or her family has heard of has set up a GoFundMe on ‘her and her family’s behalf’. I can confirm Daveigh has a trust account set up at SAG to cover all costs.”
