The Kentucky State Fair is coming up August 20-30. One of the main things people look forward to other than the music, livestock, exhibits, and rides… is the FOOD!

Yep, there are a lot of reasons we LOVE going to state fairs every year: But the #1 answer is: THE FOOD! Yelp analyzed their data from reviewers to identify the “Top 10 State Fairs for Festival Foods,” and perhaps not surprisingly, the Midwest DOMINATES. Here’s the Top 5:

  1. Minnesota State Fair in Saint Paul, Minnesota
  2. Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis, Wisconsin
  3. Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa
  4. New York State Fair in Syracuse, New York
  5. Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Kentucky State Fair didn’t make the Top 10, but Yelp didn’t rank all 50 State Fairs so we can only guess that it came in #11 on the list. What is your favorite fair food to get?
