Cat Escapes Vet After Getting Neutered and Ran Three Miles Home
Like another version of Homeward Bound, George the cat decided he was done at the vet after getting neutered!
This happened in Lakeland, Florida where George apparently didn’t want to stick around to see what else they might cut. He popped his cage open, scaled a fence, and escaped, all while still groggy from anesthesia. Thankfully he showed up back home a few days later, almost three miles away. His owner, Bob Beasock, and shelter staff searched nearly a week for George, but it turned out the cat had made his own way home where Bob found him curled up in his favorite chair in the carport.
“He had to go through two or three subdivisions, around a couple of lakes, and cross five or six roads.”
