Kids Throw A Celebration Of Life Party For Their Beloved Dog

Clay and his sisters Ruby, and Maeve, adored their dog, Turtle. So when they lost him to a spinal condition, they asked their mom if there was anything they could do to help the heartache they were feeling. As Steve Hartman with CBS News found out, they decided they didn’t want to go through their pain alone. So they threw a “Celebration of Life” party for Turtle and invited all their neighbors and dogs! Clay learned a lesson through this experience: “Don’t try to ignore the pain. Try to bring in the pain full force, because if you keep those emotions locked up inside, those emotions never go away. You just have to let it go.”
And a month later, they welcomed a new puppy, Cody, into the family.
