Steve Hartman with CBS Evening News took a trip to Bowling Green, Ohio to meet Pudge the cat, and quickly found out why he’s become such a celebrity. He belongs to the football team’s long snapper, George Carlson, who says Pudge got him through the death of his mother.
One day in the locker room, when the team was down about some injuries, Carlson brought Pudge in. And everyone was instantly charmed. And then came the crowds! Attendance at home games is up 60 percent because Pudge has become a mainstay.
