Lost Dog For Five Years Turns Up Over 500 Miles Away
A small dog who went missing from her family’s home in Mississippi about five years ago was reunited with her owners after turning up in a Florida city about 520 miles away.
The dog is a chihuahua and dachshund mix named Penny, and she was found two weeks ago, dodging traffic on a city street. Penny’s owner, Kristy Taylor, was overjoyed to get her back! Where she has been is still a mystery, but her condition being what it was (well fed) suggests someone or multiple homes may have cared for her. A woman named Briana found her and knocked on lots of doors trying to find her home before taking Penny to the shelter, where they found she was microchipped.
