Rare “Superman” Comic Book Found In An Attic Could Sell For Over $6 Million

Three brothers in California were going through their mom’s attic after she died and found a pristine copy of the first “Superman” comic from 1939.

“They’re in their 50s and 60s, and their mom had always told them she had an expensive comics collection but never showed them,” Heritage Auctions says Superman has long been among the world’s most valuable comics. A copy of Action Comics No. 1 sold for $6 million last year, while a Superman No. 1 went for $5.3 million in 2022.

Experts believe this one could sell for even more, as experts graded it a 9.0 for its sharp corners, bright colours, and near-perfect spine. So they think it could sell for over $6 million when it goes up for auction later this month.

Have you ever found anything in an attic or yard sale or estate sale that ended up even remotely valuable??
