Couple Shares Secrets To 75 Years Of Marriage
Stanley Dvoskin, 97, and wife Leatrice, 94, of Norwood, New Jersey marked their 75th wedding anniversary by sharing marriage advice with CBS New York. They met in 1949 at a City College dance in Manhattan, where Stanley gave Leatrice a ride home to the Bronx.
Leatrice later called claiming she lost earrings in his car, which “was not true,” she admitted. Stanley joked, “It’s called entrapment.” That sense of humor is key, according to Stanley. “You’ve got to laugh at some things, because things get rough at times. So a sense of humor helps.”
They married one year later and now have three daughters, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Something else that keeps them close? Daily happy hours at 5 p.m. with Stanley serving the drinks! He also gets some me time driving (yes he drives at 97) 10 minutes to a gym. She loves to hear about it when he gets home because talking about who was there and what he did is more fun than talking about what hurts LOLOL!
