Indiana Community Pitches In To Replace Viral Truck
Mo Riyale’s 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck was a bit of a social media star in South Bend, Indiana…but not in a “good” way. It became a viral sensation from thousands of people sharing sightings of it online and mocking it. To be fair it was kind of amazing it drove at all looking at the damage it had. Steve Hartman from CBS Evening News paid a visit to Mo for the story.
But it was Mo’s only way to get around to doctor’s appointments for his health issues and his job at the Dollar Tree. Until one man decided to find out the backstory and write a new ending for Mo. Colin Crowell owns a detailing shop and started a GoFundMe to replace the truck and raised over $22k from 500 donors.
That’s when a local Chevy dealer gifted him a beautiful 2019 Chevy Silverado!
