The Internet Has Been Captivated By A Baby Monkey And His Plush Bestie
A Japanese macaque named Punch is a 7-month-old whose mother abandoned him at birth. Zookeepers raised him by hand to ease his anxiety and gave him a plush monkey toy that she started snuggling with and carrying everywhere.
He started drawing huge crowds to Ichikawa City Zoo and got a huge following of people rooting for him to find a troop to accept him.
And then he finally started getting introduced to the other monkeys, and initially got rejected again. Until finally…an adult monkey gave him that first hug!
