Grandma Becomes Viral Gamer And Raises Money For Grandson’s Cancer Treatment
Grandma Sue is becoming a viral gamer for an unexpected reason.
Grandma Sue Jacquot has become an unexpected gaming star at age 81, because of her grandsons. Austin and Jack played Minecraft to escape reality after Jack was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer near his temple on the side of his face. Treatment was grueling and painful going through 12 months plus 4 months of chemo and 6 months of radiation. He tried to stay positive for his family, who was struggling to pay for the treatments after struggles with insurance. Plus, he had to be isolated, so playing Minecraft was a way to stay connected and take his mind off of his battle.
They had the whole family in on the game and decided grandma Sue had to get in on the action! Then started posting videos of her playing online and her channel started to gain a following. Now it helps pay for Jack’s treatments!
Her channel is GrammaCrackers on YouTube (she’s got over 500k subscribers) and there is a GoFundMe for Jack’s treatment as well.
