Kentucky “American Idol” Hopeful Quits To Take Care Of Newborn Son
Imagine, two very big life events happening at the SAME TIME. That was Christian Brown’s situation. He’s from Franklin, Kentucky, and auditioned for “American Idol” FOUR DAYS after the birth of his first child. He got that golden ticket to Hollywood Week but ultimately had to hit pause on that dream to be there for his son’s life-saving heart surgery at Norton Children’s Hospital. Ben and Kelly had a chance to talk to them about that journey during the Radiothon.
WHAS11 talked to him about making that choice, and he said “If I had a record deal sitting here in front of my face and my son on the other hand here, I would choose my son any time over anything.” Sounds like he’s already gotten the hang of this parenting thing.
Now he says he’s got new inspiration to write music again and understands his singer-songwriter father’s motivation.
