Classmates Support A Fifth Grader In Court For His Adoption Day

An 11-year-old boy in Texas named Cain was surprised when most of his fifth-grade class showed up to court to support him on his adoption day. Classmates, teachers, and loved ones all cheered him on as he officially joined his new family!

Nearly 45 fifth-grade students from Bell Elementary, where Cain attends school, filled the courtroom as part of 100 family and friends there for the big moment! Vandria and Tyrone Johnson took him in 2 years ago, and said, “Kaine is a joy to have around everywhere he goes,” his adoptive parents shared. “He is kind, helpful and most spiritual… He loves to help any way he can. He especially likes to wear his suits.”

An adoption specialist shared with the court that the young boy is “thriving in his home” and “very bonded with the family.”
