The Grandma Stand is a pop-up streetside booth staffed by a rotating roster of volunteer grandmas ready to give free grandmotherly wisdom and lend an ear to anyone who passes by.
Mike Matthews started the project in 2012 as a way to connect his grandma with the community. But after she passed, other matriarchs in the family and now volunteers help man the stands that have expanded to 8 cities. Now, a new documentary is being released that show how the Grandma Stand has also had an impact on the grandmas that participate!
