A Long Island High School Has 21 Valedictorians
Nassau County’s Jericho High School has designated 21 graduating seniors as valedictorians after each achieved A+ averages throughout their academic careers!
And it’s not the first time, they previously had 15 valedictorians. Students tackled tough courses including AP Economics, AP Government, AP Biology, and multivariable calculus while maintaining extracurricular involvement.
One of the valedictorians, Andrew Han, is going to Yale and said he chose difficult classes so “colleges could see that he opted to challenge himself.” And they all supported each other rather than tried to compete to beat everyone. The school will honor all 21 with special sashes and video presentations during graduation.
