Woman Invites Strangers To Her Birthday Picnic…And Over 100 Show Up
A woman in Chicago posted a funny video last month inviting anyone to join a picnic for her birthday. Chima “Naira” Ikoro was turning 29, and at first, wasn’t planning to do anything. But then she decided why not go have a picnic by herself and invite strangers on the Internet! The invite quickly went viral, especially with her dry demeanor, and more than 100 people showed up to celebrate with her!
“I’m gonna go to the park and have a picnic with myself and if you’d like to join me, you can,” and added some details like possible activities like basketball, pickleball, volleyball. Outside of that, you’d have to bring it yourself.
She said people even came from other states, and it was super welcoming! Celebrities even rolled into the comments with SZA saying, “This is the only way to invite / promote anything . Happy early birthday .” People brought pickles, a DJ and other gifts, like potted plants, for Naira!
She’s going to have a tough act to follow next year for her 30th! Or maybe she told everyone same date and place next year!
