School Resource Officer Rents Out Theater For Low-Income Middle Schoolers
A school resource officer in Phoenix paid to rent an entire movie theater for 144 middle school students after funding for their planned field trip fell through. And for many of the students, it was their first time ever going to a movie theater. Officer Sean Reavie also covered popcorn, snacks and a drink!!
Officer Reavie spent 6 years working as a child crimes detective working in a “pretty dark unit.” He noticed scared little kids responded to superheroes, so he started a foundation 12 years ago called “Put On The Cape: A Foundation For Hope”, which funds child advocacy centers and teen youth programs. Well done, Officer Reavie!
