Communities Rally To Give Some Kids With Autism A Special Experience

Here’s a couple of stories that will restore your faith in humanity! First, a neighborhood in Alabama came together to help a young boy with autism enjoy one of his favorite activities on his birthday…trick-or-treating! Over 80 houses participated so Soren could trick-or-treat in the summer for his birthday!

Then CBS Mornings highlight how a community in Maine came together for a 6-year-old autistic girl after local code enforcement officials told her family to take a flock of tin roosters off their family business property. David LeBlanc says Pyper had a rooster doll when she came to them as a foster child and has always been drawn to them. Soon, several members of the community “adopted” the roosters for their yards to circumvent the ordinance of no oversized signs in front of businesses.
