After moving to L.A. for a fresh start in warmer weather after a divorce, Heidi Widmer found herself with a very loud upstairs neighbor. It sounded like a bowling ball above her. She was super annoyed at first but what she discovered when she went to meet her neighbor was super unexpected. It was 85-year-old Carole, who lives alone with Parkinson’s disease and has no family, and that walker is making all the noise.
After hearing Carole’s story, Heidi’s heart broke for her so she started helping Carole out by taking out the trash, cooking, contacting the landlord on her behalf about things that needed fixing. And then she helped raise over $60,000 for her.
