Photographer Recreates Grandparents’ Wedding Photos For Their 60th Anniversary
NBC News featured a few good news stories, starting with a baby being greeted by his extended family after graduating from the NICU. Then a special dance at a wedding in Texas when Matthew Firth surprised Keri Gidden for a special dance at his wedding. Gidden was the recipient of Firth’s late mother’s lungs and has become close with the family.
Then there’s David and Becky Roach’s story in Louisiana whose grandson, Phillip Winham, recreated their wedding photos in the exact same places and poses for their 60th anniversary!
Phillip said it was so important to honor the people who have made an impact on you. As for the secret to their long marriage? Becky says “we care about each other” and David adds, “we include each other in what we do.”
