Free Climber Calls For Help On His Phone While Hanging On a Mountain
“I’m not going on the news or anything am I?”
Wellllll yeah buddy, you are. Thomas Perry was free climbing with no gear, no ropes when he found himself in a pickle on the side of Mount Yonah in Georgia. He got stuck on a ledge and had to call 911 to get rescued. He was standing on a tiny jagged ledge and held on with one hand while he used the other to call 911.
Officials used a drone to locate him on the mountain and once they did, a firefighter repelled down the mountain to save the climber. He was worried about getting on the news because he doesn’t want his dad to start worrying!
