High School Basketball Player Saves An Opposing Player During A Game

When an Oklahoma basketball player collapsed on the court recently, a player from another team stepped in to save his life.

Just three minutes into a high school basketball game, 16-year-old Randy Vitalis dropped to the ground in cardiac arrest. Magnus Miller said Vitalis had just made a layup and collapsed on the ground. Miller was a trained lifeguard and immediately put those skills to work. He grabbed an AED to jumpstart Randy’s heart while instructing school staff on how to perform CPR.

First responders credit Magnus with saving Randy’s life, and Magnus believes he was put there that day by God to do just that.
