More Icy Pond Rescues Of Kids
An officer pulled an 11-year-old out of an icy pond he was trying to cut across on his way home from school a few days ago. It was caught on his bodycam footage. The boy was checked out for hypothermia and back at school the next day.
Then…two kids aged 16 and 12 fell through the ice on a pond in Virginia last month, and couldn’t get out. But luckily,12-year-old Jackson already had an iPhone. It was in his pocket and got wet and had no service, it still allowed him to call 911. They hung on to fragile ice for 10 minutes before first responders to get there and pull them out. Mom warned them earlier in the day not to be out there.
But then mom was grateful her son thought about the phone because she realizes it could have turned out much differently. She’s very thankful for that and yes the boys learned their lesson the hard way!
