World Record Breaking Basketball Game Raises Money For Charity

A group of guys in Georgia broke a world record on Friday with a basketball game that lasted five straight days, 121 hours and 3 minutes. They did it to raise money for a charity called MOST, or “Men Opposing Sex Trafficking.” They say the stunt raised over $300,000.

A total of 23 players completed the marathon that ranged in age from 17 to 64. The rules stated they all had to stay inside the gym for the entire duration of the event. They rotated in shifts, took brief scheduled breaks, and slept on the sidelines when off the court.

Each team surpassed 10,000 points during the game and the whole thing was livestreamed.
