Kid Stuns At School Talent Show Imitating 50 Birds
CBS’s Steve Hartman was “On The Road” in Choctaw, Oklahoma to meet an 11-year-old that has a pretty unusual talent. Samuel Henderson is autistic and has Tourette syndrome, and can perfectly imitate the sounds of over 50 types of birds.
But he practiced over by the school fence every day, so his classmates had never heard him do it. Until the school talent show. His mom, Lori, was nervous he wanted to perform, because no kid from special education had before. And most of the acts would be singing, dancing and playing instruments. She was afraid he would be made fun of on stage. But his teacher convinced her to let him “spread his wings.”
Jaws dropped and the kids were amazed. Since that performance nearly a year ago, now he teaches lots of new friends how to make bird sounds on the playground!
