Hospital Throws Prom For High School Senior With Back Injury
An 18-year-old girl in Texas named Ella Walker had surgery on her spine last month after a trampoline injury. She’s okay, but it meant she’d miss her senior prom. So the hospital invited all of her friends, decorated, and threw her a prom.
She had to wear a brace 24/7 while recovering from surgery to insert rods and screws to stabilize her back and says the celebration was “like a godsend.” “I felt like I was surrounded by angels,” she adds.
She got all glammed up and even got to take her back brace off for pictures! And now Ella is planning on going to college to become a trauma or flight nurse.
