7-year-old AJ Keyes had a moment he’ll never forget and the timing was perfect.

Despite his dad being in hospice the last five weeks of his life due to stage 4 renal cancer, he never missed a game. Not until the final week. Both AJ and his older brother’s team were in the championship game and sadly, dad passed away that Friday. Both boys wanted to play to honor their dad. But AJ had a bigger plan…he wanted to hit a home run for dad.

Not only did he do that with two strikes against him, but the bases were loaded. He adjusted his swing and swatted it out of the park for a GRAND SLAM!
