Lost Dog Found By Good Samaritan Pilot In Alaska
A 10-year-old chocolate lab in Alaska slipped out of his collar on a camping trip July 4th, maybe spooked by fireworks, and his owners didn’t think they’d ever see him again. Lewis and Amber Ekle looked all over for him for nine days on land and by sea. But then a pilot named John Kagerer heard about it on Facebook on a page called “Alaska Packrafting”, and felt a calling to go look for him and found him immediately.

John landed his plane about a mile and a half upriver from where Koda was missing. Within minutes of getting his plane tied down, Koda appeared. He was able to coax him in with some milkbones.
