11-Year-Old Saves Teen From Drowning
17-year-old Jacob Dickens of Oklahoma was at a pool party for the 4th of July when the day took an unexpected turn. He was playing basketball, and then ended up under water. 11-year-old Xander Tessneer noticed he didn’t come back up immediately. He said something to his mom about it and jumped in to pull him out.

The boys were strangers before that moment and Jacob marvels at the size and age difference, and that Xander was able to save him. Now he feels like he has a younger brother. And Xander and his family weren’t originally supposed to be there that day until a schedule change. His mom is so glad they ended up in the right place at the right time.
