11-Year-Old Becomes The Youngest American To Summit The Matterhorn
An 11-year-old Colorado boy has become the youngest American to do this and it’s CRAZY difficult!!!
Sam and his father, Joe, reached the summit of the 14,692-foot Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps, making Sam the youngest American to do that! They had previously attempted the climb but had to turn back due to weather. This time, they reached the peak in 3 hours and 45 minutes.
This was not his first major mountain climb, as he previously became the youngest person to summit Yosemite’s El Capitan. That achievement was met with some controversy because of the gear they used.
They made a movie about his El Capitan adventure!
