Louisville City FC Players Assist After Car Wreck

Kevon Lambert, a midfielder for Lou City FC, Josh Jones, Brandon Dayes and Hayden Stamps are more used to assists on the soccer field.

But August 13th, they were assisting Diane Corbett after a car pulled out in front of her sending her into a telephone pole. She was driving on River Road headed downtown when another car pulled out in front of her from a side street. “Before I could stop, before I could even break, our cars collided,” she recalled.

Lambert and his LouCity teammates were on their way back from training and were two cars back. Their first instinct was to check on everyone involved to make sure they were ok. Corbett told WHAS11 their kindness meant the world to her in that moment.
