Good Samaritans Honored For Saving A Kentucky State Trooper With Gunshot Wound
A mother and her daughter, both nurses, battled to save a state trooper who had been shot. Trooper Jude Remilien pulled over a pickup truck in Kentucky when he was shot by an occupant. The good Samaritan nurses, Jessica Alexander and Taylor Hall, happened to be passing by, and came to the trooper’s aid. They applied a tourniquet using a belt, and tried to keep the injured officer conscious. The trooper’s bodycam captured the moment he was shot in the leg and the actions of the Samaritans.
This happened in July and the people who helped him were honored in a ceremony.
