Neighbors Fight the HOA Over Giant Santa and Win
Neighbors in Colorado came together to argue with their HOA that a 28-foot-tall inflatable Santa should be able to be exhibited in someone’s yard. It can easily be seen near the entrance to the development. The homeowner, Dora Flores, said kids and families took pictures with it all the time and many got joy out of it. Then she got a letter from the HOA saying it broke the rules with its “excessive height” and had to be taken down immediately.
But then neighbors jumped to their defense protesting the order, with many residents reaching out to HOA management. They put together social media campaigns and even put up inflatables of their own. All that attention worked and Flores said the HOA gave their blessing for Santa to stand tall!
