Olympian Confesses To Cheating On Girlfriend After Winning Bronze
Sturla Holm Laegreid from Norway won a bronze medal in biathlon, that’s the sport that combines cross-country skiing and SHOOTING. But he couldn’t enjoy it, because he was HEARTBROKEN. Instead of celebrating, he made a crazy confession in front of the ENTIRE WORLD. He said, quote, “There is someone I wanted to share this with who might not be watching today.
“Six months ago, I met the love of my life, the most beautiful and kindest person in the world. Three months ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life and was unfaithful, and I told her about it a week ago. This has been the worst week of my life.”
He added, quote, “I had the gold medal in life, and I am sure there are many people who will see things differently, but I only have eyes for her. Sport has come second these last few days. Yes, I wish I could share this with her.”
According to People magazine, his girlfriend was NOT happy about that choice. Wanting to remain anonymous, she said “I did not choose to be put in this position, and it hurts to have to be in it. We have had contact and he is aware of my opinions on this,” “[I am grateful] to my family and friends who have embraced me and supported me during this time. Also to everyone else who has thought of me and sympathized, without knowing who I am.”
