Woman Gets Adopted By Her Biological Dad 40 Years Later
A reporter in Tennessee did a story on a woman named Jennifer Skiles, who was adopted as a kid, then again as an adult.
She recently tracked down her biological dad Paul thanks to DNA testing and online searching, who NEVER knew she existed. She lost her adoptive dad (who, unfortunately, was abusive) at 18, and her mother to cancer when she was 25.
Jennifer found her biological mother and developed a close loving relationship for 12 years until she was tragically killed in a car accident. Her mother had shared with her that she met Jennifer’s father while both were serving in the military. They spent a romantic weekend together in New York, and then went their separate ways—unaware a child would be the result. Paul never knew until Jennifer finally found him. They bonded and found they had similarities, like being left-handed.
Paul officially adopted her 40 years later! “I want my dad’s name to be attached to me,” Skiles said. “And I just think it’s so beautiful. We’re so excited.”
