Fairdale Teens Gets A Prom At Norton Children’s Hospital
17-year-old Kaitlyn Hutchins is squeezing some big life moments in a small amount of time, including prom, at Norton Children’s Hospital.
She’s been battling osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, for the past two years. It started as a sports injury that just got progressively worse. Six relapses later, and she’s not giving up. Days after a special graduation ceremony came the prom and another surprise, her boyfriend proposed. Her mom, Kimberly, says when he’s in the room, she feels better, he’s like medicine to her. The family says they will keep fighting and holding on to hope until Kaitlyn says she’s done.
